How are we making our patients and staff Covid safe?
We are carrying out twice a week Covid testing of all staff.
We are asking our patients NOT to visit the practice without prior appointment.
All staff and patients are required to wear a face mask unless they carry an exemption.
We carry out a Covid risk assessment of each patient prior to their visit to us.
Patients are asked to come not too early or late for their appointment to help us limit the number of patients in the practice at any one time.
We have adjusted our waiting room seating and placed floor markings to aid social distancing.
Appointments are spaced out to aid social distancing.
Temperature checks are carried out for all patients as they enter and all staff on arrival.
Patients are asked to clean their hands with a disinfecting agent on arrival.
The reception staff will ask some questions from the patient to reaffirm nothing have changed with regards to the exposure to Covid or risk from Covid since the risk assessment.
Staff wear the appropriate PPE as recommended for their role and procedure being undertaken.
We have installed plastic screens on our reception desks. Please try and maintain distance to avoid touching the screen.
Patients are kindly requested to come to their appointments by themselves as much as possible unless they need a person to support them, carer, chaperone or accompanying a child.
Patients are advised to bring as little belongings as possible with them to avoid contamination.
All patients are asked to keep all belongings with them and to avoid leaving the waiting room until they are collected for their appointment.
Patients are requested to use the toilets before coming to the appointment. If you need to use the facilities, patients are to let the reception know so that we can make sure additional cleaning and disinfection is done after each use.
We clean the pens used by our patients using disinfectant wipes.
We are cleaning our surgeries and associated areas more thoroughly and frequently. We have strict schedules and routine.
We are encouraging our patients to use contactless as much as possible
We’re performing deeper, thorough and more frequent cleans – especially in our surgeries. These are scheduled throughout the day to fit around appointments.
